PLEATED STAINLESS STEEL CARTRIDGES

Cleanable pleated metal filter elements are manufactured from 316 stainless steel, and available in a variety of absolute removal ratings from 3µm upwards.

Cleanable filter elements can be repeatedly re-used, hence eliminating the need for the high inventory and disposal requirements of polymeric filter elements. Cleaning can be achieved by chemical, ultrasonic or backwashing means.

Suitable for a multitude of process applications, these filter elements have a double open ended or plug-in design. The pleated feature ensures a high filtration area, resulting in low pressure drop characteristics and the consequential long life to blockage. The stainless steel construction provides high levels of chemical and temperature compatibility. To assist with this, a variety of end seal materials are available, including nitrile, ethylene propylene, PTFE and fluorocarbon elastomer. The robust element structure withstands differential pressures in excess of 5 Bar, and makes the product ideal for use as a backwash filter.
