Metal fibre filter elements have been applied in the production process of metallic oxides. Even very small particulate as nanopowders can be separated. As the metal fibres are electrical conductive, they offer the additional advantage that the elements will not be charged electrically. This enables the use of these elements in filtration applications where the dust or particles are electrically charged or can tend to explosion. As metal fibre filter elements are resistant to high temperatures, they can be used in applications where components or engines have to be protected against erosion by particles in the hot gas stream. Examples of this could be : the use of Hastelloy HR (high temperature and corrosive resistance) filter elements in waste incineration, where the heat-exchanger for recuperation has to be protected or CCTF elements which are used in the coal gasification process in order to prevent damage on the gas turbines of power plants. In some applications, the filtration of the particulate is done with a combined installation. The coarse particles are separated through a primary cyclone; the fine filtration is performed by the metal fibre elements.

Removal of dirt, grime, moisture, oil traces , particulate is very important to safe guard your downstream equipments like solenoid valve orifices, ports etc. Materials ranging from SS, Glasss fiber , PP, Haste alloy etc and others mentioned before have found extensive use in gas filtration. |
